What is Ifá?
Ifá is a sacred system of spirituality and divination from the Yoruba people of West Africa, seen as the voice of the divine. It teaches that nature itself carries spiritual intelligence, allowing humans to connect with higher wisdom, receive guidance, and create balance in their lives.
At its core is a divination system rooted in the Odu Ifá—sacred verses filled with teachings, stories, and guidance—often paired with ebo (offerings) to restore harmony and alignment with destiny.
The Orisha are the living forces of nature and divine expression within the world. Through them, the tradition emphasizes that all of existence is interconnected, conscious, and aligned through balance with these sacred energies.

Introducing
Baba Ifagbemi Awofolaji
Born in Abeokuta, Gbagura community, Ogun State, Nigeria, I come from a long line of revered Ifá priests. My family name is Awofolaji, while Ifagbemiopenikun—shortened to Fagbemi—and Atanda are names inherited from my grandfather. Afuwapele Omo Orunmila was the name bestowed upon me at birth, reflecting my spiritual destiny. I am proud to continue the legacy of my father, who served as the recent Araba Onifa of Abeokuta (Egbaland).
